Discussion CTB in Hotel or at home ?

Why do many people prefer to CTB in a hotel rather than at home? Is it because they're afraid of being saved, or because they don't want to traumatize their loved ones, knowing they'd have to keep living in the same place where their child died?
My method will be SN. I was planning to do it at home, in my bed, while everyone else is sleeping. Do you think it's a good idea? I've been told it might be a bad idea.

I want to do it in a hotel because I'm afraid of being "saved" plus I don't want them to deal with the trauma of seeing my body. My main concern though is being "saved" since my parents are extremely light sleepers and will 100% wake up to me vomiting and will call the ambulance on me

Several reasons:

• Some people cannot get privacy for the necessary 8 hours at home
• Some people do not want to leave a mess at home
• Some people do not want to traumatize family members
• Some people want to physically distance themselves from home (ie, traveling to another state/country)

Planning to CTB at home.

I live alone at a rental apartment that is close to the hospital where I was born... quite symbolic, isn't it?

I just feel bad for leaving the landlord with the mess my rotting corpse will make. He's been so good to me, so far.

Resale value of the house goes down. Not a good vibe for the neighbors either. I can't bear the thought of family finding my corpse. It's going to be absolutely horrible for my family. At least they can be in their home without thinking of my dead body. Depends if you hate your family or not. Suicide is a d*ck move. I'm not strong enough to keep going, but I'm not going to be an absolute monster about it. Booking a hotel or airbnb as soon my drugs arrive.

I'm planning to do it in the comfort of my own apartment. I live alone, but my family has the keys to my apartment. I don't want them finding my dead body so will need to work out how to send a delayed message to authorities for someone to collect my body.

I would prefer a hotel, but home is the realistic option unfortunately. I'm not afraid of being saved, and I'm going to leave a note on my door telling my dad to call the police if it's on there, so he hopefully avoids finding my body. We had a relative commit suicide in our house before and we never really viewed home as being their tomb, so I think he'll be okay on that front.

I'm planning to hike into the middle of a frozen forest, then drink my SN there. Hopefully when my corpse is discovered it'll just be bones?
