Discussion Ctb by hanging and backing out

Why do people who find their sweet spot but backing out at the attempt. Is it something bothering them.

Hanging is a difficult method because of the survival instinct, even know we want to die we are programmed to survive. There are many reasons why someone might back out of an attempt, they may do it out of fear of failure or the dying process or it simply may not be the right time for them to ctb.

I think I almost succeeded with partial but I backed out because of the pain.

Anyone with solid decision will not back out except if it failed like rope cut or someone found them, i literally seen many videos of ctb and sometimes people ctb by self-immolation or slit their throats, its cruel but it depends on how really one is sure about his decision and the will to do, mostly someone will not fear or feel anything if they been on their peak of pain and hopelessness, anyone who think "i might ctb later" will no do it really and will back out on first fear thought, ctb need someone who doesn't think but act immediately

Not true. A solid decision and/or impulsivity doesn't always get past SI. People who can overpower it are just built different.

When the time is right, people succeed whatever the method. I guess you have not reached that darkest of places where despair wins the day.
