Discussion CTB by Carbon Monoxide

I've been planning to end it by carbon monoxide poisoning but I don't know if my method is good. I don't know much about this kind of thing, only that I'm done with living.
I plan on turning on my portable gas grill in my room, blocking any kind of ventilation (covering up the door, window, etc), and letting it burn up until it's over. I don't wanna deal with the possible symptoms (nausea, headaches, etc) so I'll take about ten benadryls to knock me out.
I don't have a garage so I can't use a car. This is my last resort. I don't want it to hurt or be gruesome. If I carried out my method would it work? Is a bedroom too large of a space? Any tips are greatly appreciated.

Hi, this will be the megathread for the carbon monoxide method. I have some questions about the charcoal method, is it a simple method to do? Like buying charcoal and setting it or there is some steps and setup to follow The ppeh gives low rating for preparation but good rating for...

Your room is most likely too large to reach lethal CO concentration level from a portable gas grill. Actually, the amount of CO produced from a gas grill is not that much to begin with. You're more likely to just cause serious injury to yourself. A charcoal grill would be a much better option, but even that alone would probably be insufficient to fill your room with a lethal amount of CO. This is the reason that many CTB from CO are done in tents, as they're much smaller in volume (compared to a room) and it's easier to reach lethal levels of CO.

Honestly I don't have the option to use a tent. My house really is my only chance. Is there a possibility that I could use my bathroom instead? It's pretty small, barely two people can be in it at once

Bash out the catalytic converter in your exhaust system, and duct tape a hose around a garden hose or tube run that into the window of the car. Turn on and try not to let SI kick in.

From my research this method isn't painless, quite the opposite. I suppose once you pass out, you would be fine. But I worry about the stages leading upto unconsciousness

Yes. If the bathroom is smaller than your room, that plays to your advantage. The less room volume, the better. The higher the CO concentration, the quicker you reach unconsciousness, which is what you want. Death while unconscious beats death while conscious any day. That's why people always say they'd like to die in their sleep.
