Hi,
I'm from france and the only way i found access to SN so far was to order and make it deliver in a DHL closet in poland
- first theres a issue bc you need a polish phone to receive confirmation code to order - BUT i'm almost sure there is some way to get polish e-sim (?)
Anyway, i'm ok to travel to CTB but when i was taking my plane tickets to poland i started spiralling wondering about what would happen if i CTB in a polish hotel room as a french citizen
- do i leave my passeport near me, do i leave a contact
- Is it possible to take an insurance with my flight so that my mother doesnt have to pay or deal with the body, is there insurance for CTB abroad
DO i need to think of anything else ?
I just know my exit will be hard for her and don't want to add any scenario where she doesnt know if i'm missing or dead or have to paye huge death dept because i exit abroad
Also, if someone knows how to get SN shipped to france to avoid all that....

I have no idea about the insurance, I GUESS they don't cover suicide cases, if not everybody would be hiring expensive live insurances and then CTBing, but since this is a travel insurance, I am not sure, maybe you can read the "small letters" in the insurance policy.
About the passport, I would say yes, keep it close, so you can be easily identified.
I wish you good luck, I hope everything goes according to your will.

I live abroad so I've been thinking about this too. It is actually quite expensive to repatriate a body. It can cost thousands to bring your loved one home and it can take some time. They'll want to determine COD, and then there is paperwork. The Polish funeral people will liaise with the French people to bring you home. Your family will have to pay for all of it, including the coffin they'll transport you home in. In terms of contacting your next of kin I would leave a note with all the information on it for whoever finds you. It's probably the only way. I really hope you find what you're looking for.
