• Hey Guest,

As you know, censorship around the world has been ramping up at an alarming pace. The UK and OFCOM has singled out this community and have been focusing its censorship efforts here. It takes a good amount of resources to maintain the infrastructure for our community and to resist this censorship. We would appreciate any and all donations.

Emissary of the right to die.

I know that when the time comes and I decide to go, I will leave a note and it's likely that the person reading it would read it long after I'm already gone. For writing a note, would talking in some future tense or including sentiments such as:

"For those who plaster, copy-pasta the suicide hotline as well as other anti-suicide statements, fuck you all in advance. You people have done nothing but spit at us while we were on the edge and your stupid useless platitudes have done nothing at best and at worst caused more suffering to the suicidal than before! Also, fuck you mass media for using my death to push anti-suicide, pro-life rhetoric, gun control, etc."

"I have already made my decision and you (pro-lifer) have no right to impose your will against me. If I am to respect your right and choice of life, then you are to do the same with my right and choice of death."

"XYZ caused me to do this, instead of pushing therapy, mental illness, and coerced/forced commitment against someone's will, FOCUS ON FIXING THE ROOT CAUSES!"

(where XYZ are the reason(s) or cause(s) for the suicide.)

The wording could be a bit better, but these are just a few examples. Now of course, if I am writing a note, I would include some positive words and nice statements towards the people who have been helpful as well as try to comfort the ones who would be sad that there was nothing that could be done. In my opinion, I think of the note as a way to tie loose ends and to give some closure while also giving my piece of mind and getting the last word against the people that I despise.

Finally, would having a note (The "main" note) that is about a page or two at max, summarizing the good times in life, giving my reasoning (briefly and highlighting each one with a point or two), and then giving the last statements be a sufficient length? I do have lots of notes and diaries that I keep to myself, which are much more detailed and really elaborate on my reasoning further, but I plan for those to be only be discovered by the curious and dedicated investigators. I will, of course, delete all references to any suicide forum, site, or resource on the web, as well as my browsing history and what not.

I was about to say that there's probably a polite way of saying this, but then I realized that I couldn't think of one. Looks perfect to me.

I've considered this, however in this world it is not safe to disclose your pro-choice stance even on your deathbed.

If you fail, that note will be used against you. Imagine living in the year 1935, when lobotomies were commonplace & homophobia at a near all time high, could you imagine writing "I'm gay" on your suicide note and then failing, you will have no plausible deniability to fall back on should you be hospitalized.

Edit: Removed redundant information.

It's your bus to catch, your call, but personally I'd consider it unlikely that pro lifers are going to give a toss about your note, it won't change their views, and the angry tone will just be used to highlight your mental and emotional torment instead. A gentle note to any loved ones explaining your inner peace would be far more worthy of effort imo.

I wont leave a note behind, but if its that important to you i would only mention those who were kind to you, specifying key moments with them that made you happy

The other people you hate they dont give a fuck about you so why would you include them in your final note?

Say your goodbyes ...with love.

If your objective is to speak your mind, great. If it's to change minds, might try a different (nuanced, reasoned) approach.

@Threads perhaps I will have to use a calmer and nicer tone, especially when addressing the majority and particularly, the right to die, voluntary euthanasia issues. In regards to my note, I plan to be brief, yet say enough in my main note, but then in my other ramblings, vents, and diaries, I will go into more detail (which the majority of the world would not see - only close people or those that really dig deep or want to find a more detailed explanation of my reasoning, rationalization, two cents on various topics). I have planned to keep it around 1-2 pages in length, and not too long nor too short (too short means it doesn't get my point across, but too long means they wouldn't understand or would take it wrong).

I will say I share similar sentiments as this person, Wilkes McDermid when it comes to the social, romantic relationship issues. While my problems aren't the same as his, there are some similarities to draw from. I take some inspiration from his style of format, but I do plan to have my note much shorter and more concise rather than to be too long.

Edit: Actually, I might write two versions of my main note, the one that the majority will see will be in a calmer tone and address the reasons as well as highlight the good times. The actual uncensored version will be what my real thoughts are and contain what I really think as well as some choice words. The reason I'm doing it like this is there is a part of me I want to get out so that others can see and perhaps benefit from (mostly the people here) as well as having a part of me (true part) immortalized. I'm sure there are numerous others here that share the same sentiments. The calmer note would be something to justify my suicide but also in a way to possibly change someone's mind.

It will just make you look like a deranged suicidee and the pro lifers will just think that they could have saved you.
Write a gentle note to your family explaining why and saying you just could not do it anymore.

I'm sorry but they will dismiss everything you say as mental illness. It's just a way to brush aside all of it. Life will go on. No offense but people won't care
