I feel like I can't fully relate to suicadal people I know in real life unlike people on these forum. I think the difference is people I know in real life have suicadal thoughts because they want a way out of how they feel because of some crisis like break up or burn out and I think deep down they don't wamt to die but I think people like me and I assume most people on this forum have problem that are permanent like diseases, disability, trans people not being able to pass despite transition and we don't just have suicadal thoughts we actually want to die. That's why we able to do the protocol and if we are saved we are disappointed while the people facing crisis tend to only do impulse suicade and will regret doing it.

I can only Imagine how hard it is for trans people to exist in our broken society. Its so f*** sad that we're still in "Stone age", especially in conservative countries like ours. Its getting better tho, but not fast enough for people that are already here and need help.

Yeah, I definitely believe that I fall under the same boat as most people who are on SaSu, who are chronically suffering and have permanent problems. For me, it is also philosophical as well, the state of continuous sentience until natural causes or other causes, and that is something that I don't want to deal with. Even before getting onto SaSu, I've always considered CTB perpetually and I've always had the thought of CTB being an option for permanent problems. Most of my 20's and even my 30's are mostly just biding time, copes, and such, even if there was temporary recovery (from an outsider's perspective), it is fleeting and transient. I suppose I'm just waiting until the right time and circumstance before going. I do know that if I attempt CTB, it isn't an impulsive decision nor is it considered a 'cry' for help, but an deliberate act to free myself from suffering permanently.

it's hard to evaluate someone's long term willingness to actually commit suicide

my suicidal attempts have all happened because of different crisis in my life, that i initially thought were all independant from each other. today i realize that these crisis that made me suicidal are all the consequence of me being unable to face some of the daily challenges of life and existential questions. i am too static, too resistant to change in a world that goes too fast, that constantly asks me to make choices that keep making me more miserable, with rules i do not understand.

if i were to make a guess, i do not believe that people on this forum are necessarily more "serious" about commiting suicide than the people you know in real life. what i believe however is that people speak up more about their suicidal thoughts and tendencies here, without the taboo that we find in today's society. i believe that this is what make you more easily relate to people

its not getting better at all unfortunately. its actively getting worse. just some places like parts of Europe are slower and others like America and to a lesser extent the UK are faster
