I'm going to hang myself from my doorknob tonight. I'm just a little worried that my body moving (I've heard that the body thrashes when you hang yourself) about could wake someone and they'll try to save me. Am I better waiting until I'm alone? Or will my body not move that much?
I'd say don't risk it, I know nothing about hanging but I'd imagine it this way: SI could jump in and you might try to prevent yourself from dying and possibly alert someone.

I would definitely wait till you're alone. When folks say "thrashing" they talking about the tonic-clonic/Grand mal seizures that set in once your brain is deprived of oxygen.
