Is coronavirus one way out? Finally, and while in in recovery, damm!

Do you want to die? Go infect yourself with it, is it a choice? Even without choosing we might get infected eventually.

Damm.

Even though I'm in recovery I rather drink my N than go through the painful coronavirus experience?

If you still hold N of March 2020, what would you do if you believe ti be infected? Fucking virus appears right when I'm on recovery and my decision might be taken away from my hands, shit. At least I lived fine , depression free for a few months, let's see what lies ahead before probable drinking that N.

Would you go N or live infected?

,Hey good to see you.

Although I don't think any of use will have a problem, as most of us rarely go out or mix with large numbers of people.
If I had N I would take it regardless, hell I've smoked for 30 yrs case the packet tells me it will kill me, at the end of the day dead is dead, how I get there is lesson a concern.

You are more likely to die of the flu in winter than of this so far, so please carry on being depression free, something has to give me hope that I too can get there.

I think you've unfortunately been a sucker to the media hyper

The virus is really not a big deal for most healthy individuals. You get a sore throat, cough and fever then recover. Not unpleasant but manageable. If you are already ill it's not even the virus that kills you, it's phenomena that does.

The deathrate is staggering low about 1% and only killing the old/sick anyway. The only reason it's so hyped is because 1 - it spreads fast 2 - we've never encountered it before and have no active treatment. But who fucking cares our body can fight it off.

Unless you're terminally ill already you'll be fine

you have actually very small chances of being infected with the coronavirus even if you live in wuhan.
as of yesterday (27.02.2020) there are 83 647 confirmed cases of said virus worldwide, the vast majority (78 959) of which are in china alone, mind you it all began in a city with 11 million people almost 3 months ago.
now to the deaths - 2 858 death worldwide - 2 747 deaths in china and 57 deaths outside of china.
the infection rate is pitiful, and the number of deaths even more so, statistically you have higher chances of getting stabbed then even coming in contact with an infected person

here is the link to the World Health Organization website with all the information you need about COVID-19

in short, there's no need to worry about the virus, you might as well live as if it never was a thing

Disease causes pain . And death takes time .

SS consensus is peaceful quick death (few wished otherwise) . So it's not a rather elegant solution to our problems

You remember the avian flu or ebola?

It feels like every decade we get this new "pseudo pandemic" which is said to be a very serious threat but it never delivers.

The funniest thing about it is its dedicated subreddit, though...

Mortality rate in 10 to 50 year olds is 0.2%. This outbreak is way exaggerated, you'd have a better chance of dying from the common flu. The reason it is such a big deal is because it spreads very quickly and is moderately dangerous for seniors.

Over 90 percent of people, like the flu, will recover. Sorry.

Like ANY disease, the elderly and those with medical issues are at risk .

Except for the scaremonger title, this article explains the containment problems pretty well

I am not looking forward to this. I know the people around me won't let it kill me I will just be taken to the hospital immediately and intubated. Then I get to hang out there in a miserable state and still be alive. even those of us with respiratory conditions are very unlikely to actually get to die from it. The people that die from it are the ones that don't have access to medical care, or people around them that will force medical care on them. If you have even moderately normal health you will be fine, and even if it does kill you it will be slow and awful. Drowning in my own lungs is not really the way I prefer to go.

Fun fact: about 20% of colds are caused by some form of coronavirus.

Everyone is freaking out, but dying from it isn't something to bet on so far.

Media hype or not, it does sort of humor me how the stock market is plunging. And fucking Mike "pray the gay away" Pence is in charge of handling the chaos.

The sad part is that the current US administration has marginalized so many people that added suffering is inevitable.
Obviously, children detained in cages with marginal hygiene and health care are not going to do well. Their families will never ever know what happened to them. Unmarked mass graves make a lot of authoritarian problems disappear.

Yes, jokes aside, it's an awful situation which will yet again profoundly impact the most vulnerable. I just can't get over how ignorant this administration is. I thought I'd seen some shit but damn, this may be political rock bottom. Trump isn't coherent, Pence looks like a poodle's scrotum, Mitch McConnell...why?

Why do people want to feel miserable? It's not going to kill you. It'll probably make you feel like you wish you were dead, but you're probably not gonna die from it.
