Do you think their will be an effect on how people ship goods/the degree of checks on packages due to corona virus? Like I know there has been some trade restrictions in US so idk about overseas mail....

I can see it going both ways.

Imagine the customs offices have the same capacity of employees but only half the work load: then they may check twice as many orders.

Or it could produce chaos, the things they focus on could change, they might have fewer employees and this could result in easier customs.

I don't understand the purpose for posting this. If there's something you need to order, I would think this is a sufficient reason to move forward with ordering. If you're not able to order yet, you're not able to order yet. This kind of worry is an ugly little monster that wants to be fed, and it gets fed and grows because no one has the answer. The monster starves when you focus on something you do have control over.

This is not the first time this question has been posted, and it's pretty much the same, not based on an immediate need or concern, but just generalized worry. Then others worry. Then we all sit around and try to figure out a problem that we can't figure out until it happens. The coronavirus news causes fear and a sense of not being in control, and fear of a potential loss of control. The virus has created a worry monster feast.

Just order what you need to order. The mail man will still deliver mail.

Well if that something costs 700$ it's worth considering.

But there was no something mentioned of any cost. The only thing mentioned was generalized worry and I'm not going to feed into that. If OP has a specific concern, then we can address it and everyone gets to feel empowered.
