• Hey Guest,

As you know, censorship around the world has been ramping up at an alarming pace. The UK and OFCOM has singled out this community and have been focusing its censorship efforts here. It takes a good amount of resources to maintain the infrastructure for our community and to resist this censorship. We would appreciate any and all donations.

What if I just drink coolant? It's poisonous and supposed to taste sweet. Would it be super painful and obvious? Is it a safe method? Tell me anything you know.

"Coolant" might mean many things. You need to check the actual contents of the you want to use. In my part of the world, automotive coolants usually contain Propylene glycol which, while not exactly healthy, is not toxic enough to be considered viable CTB method

Coolant is NOT the way to go. There's many cases of spousal poisoning where the person survived because they got painfully sick and got to a hospital. A long time ago My dad's friend had a brother or cousin (I forget which) drink antifreeze. We heard updates every few days that he was in excruciating pain in the hospital. This lasted two weeks until he finally died. Terrible method.

The coolant of today is not the same coolant of years ago. It is far less poisonous and, consequently, much less lethal, if at all. At least in the US, anyway.

I agree with everything in above responses . And also it most likely won't taste sweet. Pure ethylene glycol does taste sweet (but from my experience also has alcohol taste and is weirdly warm, thick and makes your mouth feel numb. It's not a pleasant taste) . However, the majority of antifreeze/coolants that contain EG will also contain a bittering agent that is very strong and deliberately designed to be repulsive making it very hard to ingest and keep down. And they usually contain mix of chemicals too so may have other tastes from that

Oh damn. Thanks for the information, I'll check which one we have.

Google says...

Here's a more detailed explanation:
  • Ethylene Glycol:
This is the traditional base for antifreeze, known for its effectiveness in lowering freezing points and raising boiling points.

  • Propylene Glycol:
This is a safer alternative to ethylene glycol, as it is considered non-toxic to pets and wildlife.

  • Other Additives:
Both ethylene glycol and propylene glycol-based antifreeze solutions also contain additives, such as corrosion inhibitors, to protect the cooling system from damage.

  • Why the difference?
While ethylene glycol-based antifreeze is effective, it's also toxic and can be dangerous if ingested, leading to the development of propylene glycol-based alternatives for increased safety.
