The other day I was testing out where to find the sweet spot for partial hanging.

I found the sweet spot and gave it a practice. It almost knocked me out.

I can't remember but I think I managed to undo some of the tightness on the slipknot.

I started convulsing and I had no control. My arms were shacking. I felt paralyzed, I couldn't get up off the floor until the convulsions stopped.

If I hadn't managed to get out of the slipknot, I would of passed out and be dead.

My question is: Has anyone else gone through this and if you would like to share your story that would be great

I'm trying to find that sweet spot but hadn't yet. Can you tell us how you position the rope to be successful? Thanks

I go low at the bottom of my neck and lean into it so that the rope goes behind my head and up to where i tied it up.

I use a really painless, peaceful method where when the rope is as tight as it can be around my neck, I lay on my front on the floor and lean forward into it. This means only my upper body is pressing into the the rope. You can breath fine and the rope doesn't hurt around your neck.

It was so peaceful that I actually enjoyed it. I wish I could go through with it, but now is not the time, I will practice, but won't attempt yet.

BE CAREFUL AS IT CAN MAKE YOU PASS OUT IN A COUPLE OF SECONDS, I SHOULD HAVE DIED WHILE PRACTICING.

The noose was tightening your neck below your adam's apple? Just double checking.
That's how i do it. I leaned into it so that where the rope was tied to was behind me

Here's a little diagram of how I did it.

Yes. You found it. When I hit the spot, first I feel tingling. Then noises become amplified and I find my hands convulsing. Since I practice using my hand to find the spot, once I start to convulse, I end up letting go. I have the same continued jerking for a few minutes and feel paralyzed. I also get a metallic taste / sensation in my mouth. All this in under 10-15 seconds. I have tried it with a few different ropes and silk ties but I am apprehensive as I don't want to exit before I am fully ready. Same principle as autoerotic asphyxiation gone wrong hence the cases of accidental strangulation. Some days it is easy to find and other days, I cant hit it to save my life..lol

I find that I get a very strange feeling in my head and breathing until the blood goes back to my head. It's really hard to describe.

I once got it right by hanging myself on a closet bar. I used a scarf. It was the second position you see on the hanging mega thread. The half sitting down position. It is my back up method, so i didn't push through it. Your method also seems worth to look into. Thank you.

What ever feels most comfortable to you. Just be careful practicing.

I've done partial before. Passed out from it actually, and I when I came to, I was on the floor off to the side of where I started, and I was convulsing. I hadn't really meant to go that far, I was just testing the positioning of the rope. I knew it was working, but I wanted to go just a little longer, and that was enough for lights out.

When you find the right position it's so fast to make you pass out.

how did you manage to regain conciousness after passing out?

Don't know really. My theory is that when I fell to the side a bit, the rope loosened, giving me just enough bloodflow. It was a fluke.

Was it distressing when you were out of control and convulsing?

Yes I have. With a belt. It was terrifying. But should I have not woke up I'd have known nothing.

For me not really because I've done it a few times before so I know what to expect.

But the first time will be very scary.

It's peaceful, after I done it I felt more confident about ctb.

It is. It takes me 5-10 minutes to fully recover but then I usually try it again. While I don't want to ctb right now, I wish I could pass all the way out just to hopefully get a glimpse of the other side.

Like I said earlier, I felt very at peace while on the verge of completely passing out. I probably would have gone through with it, but it's not the right time yet.

Yes! several times now. Ive played with the sweet spot quite a bit now. Just starting to pass out then cancelling sometimes turns into convulsions.
Today i was passing out and canceling for about 20-30 mins. I decided to go for it. Leaned into position 3 legs out front. Passed out immediately. Came to having painful convulsions. I was able to cancel but it lasted about a 30 secs or so. The noose was super tight. Im wondering what happened.

Maybe as you started convulsing it changed the position of the rope around your neck. I don't know what your setup is, but for me I wouldn't go for any of the example pics. I like my method in my opinion.

I might try this nearly lying down position. I think I will slip a mattress onto the floor as well, not for comfort although that may help but mainly to try and silence the sounds that my body will make when it thrashes around. I may also tie my legs and arms up. I want to go soon but I have to wait for the right time as I live with family.
