Does anyone else seem to exist in a state of overwhelming fatigue, no matter what? It's been like this for years now - feels like I've tried every possible method to get rid of it. Waking up feeling like you've come back from hours of work takes a goddamn toll.

"Oh just exercise/rest/eat healthy/do yoga" are always the well-meaning and trite replies but when every drop of energy is sapped by existing what is the point? I'm so tired of trying to barely function and stretching myself far beyond the breaking point to do so.

I'm just so tired. Catching the bus isn't only inevitable for me at this point, it's an escape and a chance to finally, finally rest. Just have to get my things in order.

Yes, it's not easy to find any extra energy to expend on anything. Do you think that this feeling has been caused by somethign specific - such as the pandemic?

No, it's been an ongoing feeling since quite a while before the pandemic

I have not had one within the past year, but no previous evaluations have found a cause beyond disordered eating. Frankly I don't care enough to know at this point lol

I understand but if there were a simple solution you might regain s0me interest. Maybe seeking a spcialist rther than a general doc would help.

disordered eating alone could be enough to make you feel this way, though. still, way too many other potential causes. hypothyroidism, hypocortisolism, MS, ADHD insomnia, onset of narcolepsy (though this one's got other symptoms that are too obvious to not be noticed and written down), deficiency in an array of potential chemicals, *and*, chronic fatigue syndrome. sounds like CFS to me. it's a catch-all diagnosis for "unexplained, hellish, lasting fatigue", especially if worsened by activity.

I don't know if by "disordered eating" you mean an ED. I can definitely see that being too fucking much for a "keep trying".

Bit of a sadpill to some here, but I feel the same and have tried virtually every single solution in the book, to no avail.

I've come to the (unfortunate and possibly true) conclusion that it is unironically all physical symptoms of my mental state. As it is the case with the anxiety/panic episodes giving me severe chest pains unironically reminiscent of heart attacks once in a while when everything gets rough to an extreme, the constant rock-bottom-levels-of-depression, SI and just no good hopeful plans for my future that I could truly believe and engage in also take their toll somewhere. In this case, a constant mental fog/exhaustion that seems to harm my cognition and a just weird feeling of not being able to move my body that easily, as if my bones are made of iron.

Dieting, exercise, getting checked up, yoga ,yada yada yada. Yoga and meditation help you relax and put things in order but at the end of the day you still want to jump in a well and slowly decompose since you don't see anything inside your future apart from CTBing and/or being disgustingly miserable for the rest of your existence.

Hope this isn't the case with most of you though. You should all (try to) exhaust your possibilities as long as they're feasible. You may fail several times but I suppose at least you come closer to understanding your true predicament.

Easier said than done, though. Good luck OP.

I feel tired all the time, I have no energy. No amount of sleep I get would ever take away any of the tiredness. I want to fall into an eternal, dreamless sleep. I'm sorry you are going through this. I wish you the best, whatever happens.
