I read that self-immolation has a not low survival rate. That's kind of scary because I don't want to survive.
What would be the best way to increase the chances of death? I assume if I construct a large enough fire pit and tether myself to it, so that I don't wander out and cause unintended fires, and attempt in an isolated area, that would be sufficient to die from the environment even if I survive the burns? I don't think it guarantees death or non-intervention though.
I was reading some posts and wondered about death by wildlife (or wildfire, but I don't want to cause one or make someone have to rescue me from one). I wonder what animal would be the most likely to inflict lethal injuries. I know crocodiles kill a lot of people (relatively, it's nowhere near the amount killed by human murders), but it seems random and I feel bad giving one a taste for humans since a lot of humans bully crocodiles. The advantage of death by wildlife is it may not be viewed as suicide, which matters to me. If there was a starving animal then feeding it and dying at the same time doesn't seem so bad.
Another way to die without being consumed necessarily might be by snake or scorpion venom. Although when I think about it, not leaving a body behind is nice. Nobody would miss me anyway, so to vanish without a trace is nice.
Anyway, just thinking about it since I might ctb soon if nothing changes and things just get worse.
