What are the consequences of surviving SN poisoning? Could you overcome them in a matter of days if you survived so that nobody would ever find out about your attempt? Would there be any permanent brain or organ damage? Has anybody here survived SN poisoning and have a personal story about this?

If you are found before dying (time may vary due to many reasons), it can be reversed (by methyl blue) with no any permanent damage

I gave up on SN due to my extreme fear of vomiting, even though I have a package of it sitting here. I've decided to do the CO method using a gas generator and car. Seems like the most peaceful and accessible method in my opinion. I might do it in my bathroom, not really sure yet.

CO and SN both basically work on same principal (depriving blood to carry oxygen). CO poisoning too have the chances of vomiting. The thing is that some people do and some don't. CO can lead to brain damage though if found before dying

I'm planning to let the CO build up for 45-60 minutes before entering the car. That way you get knocked out right away and don't experience the negative side effects of low CO poisoning.

I've been reading reports online, and none of them mention vomiting when people are consistently exposed to CO. The only vomiting mention I've seen was when the person entered the garage with CO then went back in the house. The guy and his family was saved, so I'm not sure what to think. A user here has reported letting the CO build up and being knocked out right away when entering the car, with no panic or survival instinct. So I think I will do it that way too just to be safe. He failed to close the door due to becoming unconscious so rapidly, that's why he's still here. I will hold my breath and make sure to close and lock the door before breathing.

May someone explain why there is not any permanent damage this method can give you? By a simple logic, everything which blocks respiration must leave you cognitively impaired. Any scientific paper about it?

You are right. If the CO concentration is high enough and you enter the room suddenly there is no symptoms, you just pass out pretty quickly and die. The high concentration must be ensured to avoid unpleasant symptoms.

Good luck. CO method is better than SN imo. But if you already have SN, I think you not really need that method. A few tablets of meto or domperidone would do the trick.
Also you can take some short acting benzo to make death even more peacefull.

Yeah I agree with @Jayxtri and @DepressionsAHo ,SN poisoning has the least organ damage as compared to other methods in the event of survival, I've read CO can cause extensive organ damage in case of survival. That's one of the reason I'm gonna CTB with SN. Even though I have vomitting concerns, I'll take precautions to be in fasting mode and follow proper anti emetic regimen mentioned in PPEH,then i think I'll be fine.

Im thinking on SN method too, I watched that video with nitschke seminar thing. This method seems legit, but where do I get legit sodium nitrate?
Im in France and this product is highly restricted, you can't buy it as an individual, only as a business.
I found this:
Says assay 99.999%
Not sure if I can buy it as an individual.

What about ebay uk? Theres alot of sellers, one says 99.9%, but theres comments saying its impossible, its only sold in small cheap plastic bags.

you can also end up blind

and co triggers an anti immun reaction that can kick in weeks later and cause further damage to the brain

i want to see any proof/source that sn dont cause long lasting effects in case of failure
since its works similar to co

The only thing I found about SN effects on the body is potential carcinogenic effects, esp. for stomach

https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC1542949/

  • Meat processing such as curing (e.g. by adding nitrates or nitrites) or smoking can lead to the formation of potentially cancer-causing (carcinogenic) chemicals such as N-nitroso-compounds (NOC) and polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAH).

CO isnt the topic here!

HOWEVER, I know CO does irreversible damage to the brain. Once you exposed to high CO concentration theres no coming back, you'll most likely end up a vegetative state. THATS A FACT!!!

CO basically takes the place of O2 in the red blood cells. Typical syndroms are INTENSE headache, muscle weakness that you will have before the loss of consciouness.
CO has approximately the same density as air, so it will disperse and occupy the same space as air, which reduces local (per volume) concentration. This can be life saving, but as said the lasting effects can be awful and you could be conscious for some time so that SI triggers.

CO basically takes the place of O2 in the red blood cells.
Sodium Nitrite, NaNO2, acts as a catalyst in the conversion of the hemoglobin in your blood into methemoglobin (MetHB), a molecule with a much higher affinity with oxygen. This occurs when the ferrous ions in the regular hemoglobin are converted into ferric ones.
Since it's affinity is so high, methemoglobin cannot let the oxygen flow into other tissues that need it, thus depriving them of oxygen even while you're breathing. Death, then, occurs by hypoxia.

the mechanism of killing sounds similar

like i said i wouldnt be suprised if sn can fuck you up pretty bad too

dont we have any scientific paper on this matter?

Make your choice very carefully. SN is not completely safe. Everything that works by depriving oxygen will damage your brain to an extent.

woulf be my assumption aswell

organs are differently depended on oxygen and the once who need the most/are most sensible to the lack of oxygen the brain and the eyes

but maybe can explain why there wont be any risks here for that matter

I had no lasting effects surviving sn, the methyl blue was nasty though. Was only in hospital for a day or so. Scared the shit out of first responders apparently.

Did the cyanosis hurt? Are the parts of your body that cyanosed numb or dead permanently?

I survived after being discovered by police. No permanent damage that I'm aware of. I had a persistent tingling in my shoulder that started after taking the SN and would come and go for a day here and there, weeks after. It's a miraculous coincidence the timing involved; first responders giving me methyl blue to treat me coming out unscathed, but handcuffed to a hospital bed.

No pain, either. I'll post something more comprehensive later.

@ultraviolet sin Hey, I'll ask you my questions when you post something later - handcuffed to the hospital bed is a bit weird, I wonder why they did that.
