So please bear with me if I'm a little late to the party. I had saved this image from somewhere else on the site a few weeks ago...

That got me wondering if this was an actual scale used in medical circles, but just repurposed by the artist to be more accessible to most people. Doctors do use a 1-10 scale for pain, so it wasn't so far-fetched.

Anyway, I discovered it wasn't a medical scale, but such a scale did exist - the Columbia-Suicide Severity Rating Scale (C-SSRS). Perhaps many of you are familiar with it already. I did a search on the site and could only find one thread that mentioned it previously. There were no responses and the OP's name was crossed out.

I'm curious as to if others have had experience with this scale. Has it been used against you to get you committed? Do you ever use it to chat with a doctor or trusted friend about where you are in your suicidality? Have you ever used it to assess where you are?
