what does that have to do with soul?
For all we know the soul doesnt affect our current body but is only needed for when we're dead. Similar to having a backup of your computer files, your computer still runs fine without the backup but if your main PC shuts down for good you still have the backup to use

Well, the brain is basically just a biological machine. Naturally it's geared toward learning. And it's these human brains that created that very AI.

What is a soul and why should it exist? Consciousness just seems to arise as part of being a sufficiently advanced organism, and relevant to this, is something that was probably "learned" after millions of years of evolution.

I hope I'm not around long enough to see the creation of "synthetic brains." As if we need more ways of bringing potentially sentient beings onto this planet.
