I've been taking CBD for a week and I noticed a dramatic impact within 30 minutes of the first use. It clears my mind and lets me exist without being tortured. I'm way less agitated, and things that bothered me so much before are not playing such an outsized role in my psyche. Basically it feels like my brain is actually working how it should.

I've tried meds, therapy, lifestyle changes, etc. and none of that stuff really came close to touching my issues. I was planning on trying meds again soon but I procrastinated for weeks and weeks because I didn't even have the energy/motivation to call a psychiatrist, which should give an idea of how bad my brain has been.

I even tried CBD from a different company 2 years ago and it did nothing, but someone recommended a different brand to me recently and I thought it was worth a shot. My therapist explained how the quality and formulation can vary a lot from company to company.

Now I'm thinking about starting a career, finding a wife, buying a house together, having kids... jk lmao

I never expected anything to help and just assumed I would be suffering til I finally died. At least for now it seems that is not the case. I'm not necessarily happy, just feeling kinda neutral and not in constant pain.

If you haven't tried CBD yet, I think it is definitely worth exploring. It might just be a matter of finding the right formulation (I'm using the 25mg full-spectrum gummies from R+R Medicinals, still experimenting with dosage and such). It's not too expensive where I am and there's no downside to trying really. I've heard it can help with other stuff too like chronic physical pain but I don't have experience with that luckily.

That's great! There's definitely a lot to be said for cbd's attributes for many people. I'm a big believer is the benefits of cannabis but it's tricky to recommend as it doesn't suit everyone and the available products on the market are often a bit misleading and/or don't contain the proper ingredients. Full spectrum is definitely a good indicator. CBN gets overlooked a bit but it's a valuable component too. There's still a lot for science to quantify but there's progress being made now legalisation has occurred in places. It's unfortunate that more countries don't have access to decent cbd products. There's so much crap on the market in countries where cannabis is illegal. It annoys me immensely. I'll have a look into that brand you mentioned but I doubt it will be legal to export to my country. Really good to hear a positive account though. I'm glad for you.

EDIT I've just looked up the brand you mentioned. They claim to be hemp extracted which is usually a bit of a red flag for me but if its working for yoy that's great. I guess things have come a long way in the last 5 years so. I've lost touch with it all a bit in the last couple of years but when I left it I'd become a bit jaded by the influx of hemp extracted CBD products flooding the market that don't really cut it and would instinctively lean towards using products extracted from cannabis with a fuller profile but in fairness their product does appear to contain a decent set of components. I'm really quite jealous. Think it's time to research whats currently available in my location.

Again, really great to read a success story. :)

Yes! I love this for you. CBD is such an amazing therapeutic. I've had different results from different brands as well. One made me so irritable while another calmed me but didn't drain my energy. It helps with my fibromyalgia pain and my severe anxiety. I agree it's definitely worth a try.

Yeah I don't know much about this stuff, just went with a recommendation and somehow it worked! I can't argue with the results. Hopefully you'll be able to find something in your location. Pretty insane that it can't be shipped internationally, like it's some dangerous drug lol.

Lol, I know. That's the world we live in unfortunately. I think the worm's turning as far as cannabis goes. Mainly because of the amount of money that's in it. With economies under pressure from the covid fallout I wouldn't be surprised if governments cash in sooner than later. They're probably just getting their infrastructures in place to monopolise it. In the UK the government grows and sells an extract of cannabis as a spray called sativex. They prescribe to MS patients and it's so expensive. If I remember correctly they grow a specific phenotype of the strain white widow (I may have that wrong) in a secret facility. They expanded and were growing in polly tunnels in a prime location but didn't get the extration/filtration set up correctly and there were news reports about a flood of complaints from the local village due to the extremely pungent smell flooding their area. Total racket as they own the patent but also claim that cannabis has no medical properties and no research can be done on it due to its legal status. Unless of course they feel like expanding their brand. So yeah, clearly some double standards going on.

I'm sure there's probably something available in my country. Maybe the dnm's will be able to supply something worthwhile. :))

Yahhsss I've found CBD to be so beneficial for my depression & anxiety & appetite (basically everything lol )

just about remembering to buy it and use it intentionally.

Think ima try the capsules or buying a larger pack of gummies 🤔

Just find the oil a bit hard to remember to take on a consistent basis. Although I found a cheaper brand of oil it's still kinda p. expensive but I don't smoke much anymore so worth it.

(As someone mentioned CBN earlier I have tried it / would like to more. Suppose to be good for sleep.)

I've heard good things about CBD and been a little bit curious to try it myself, but haven't gotten around to it because I don't know what reaction it could have on me, I wanted to talk about it with my therapist but haven't done it. I guess I'll do a more in-depth research and see if I give it a go, it'd be really nice if it could help me with my anxiety and depression.

One month update: still working well, I stand by the original post. I'm taking it round the clock now because when it wears off, I go back to my original state, which is not tolerable even for a few minutes. Idk how I ever lived like that. :ehh: I'm a little more productive now, nothing major, but I'm curious to see the downstream effects after a couple years of improved functionality. I haven't taken any benzos in over a month (!!) and barely seem to get headaches anymore. I've referred a few people and most have liked it, while a couple have reported no effects. I think CBD can do great things but it may not work for everyone and also depends on the formulation. Like I said in the OP, the first CBD I tried did nothing, while this one has been the best treatment I've ever had by far. So idk, complicated science shit I guess, but it's worth investigating. Hope this helps someone!

Let us know how it goes! I would love if someone found it useful.

Oh yeah I forgot to mention, I need to find a contingency plan in case anything ever happens to this company lol. If anyone has any recommendations for something in the USA that they found useful for depression/anxiety, I am all ears. I'm not really sure what I should be looking for since it seems to be a bit of a crapshoot and maybe I got lucky with this current one, but surely there are other products out there that would work well?

Have you considered making your own tinctures/oils?

If you have access to high CBD strains then you could probably make some medicine yourself, It's a very rewarding experience as well and there are plenty of tutorials and information online. Also, these can last for years and years, some tinctures get even more potent with age.

I don't know about the legality of the plant itself in your state, but I do know that you some places have crazy variety and availability.

I don't really know anything about it, but I will keep that in mind for later!

I really am curious abt this. I have a major THC allergy and get stoned half the day with the least amt. What's THC %? I've read CBD doesn't pass the blood-brain barrier and that one can't get high from it. I just don't want to end up making love to a cactus (unless it shaves first).

Trace amounts of THC, <0.3%. You can actually view the lab results to see exactly what's in there. It won't get you high, it just feels normal to me. There are also THC-free versions (broad spectrum), but I have not tried them.
