I've been taking CBD for a week and I noticed a dramatic impact within 30 minutes of the first use. It clears my mind and lets me exist without being tortured. I'm way less agitated, and things that bothered me so much before are not playing such an outsized role in my psyche. Basically it feels like my brain is actually working how it should.
I've tried meds, therapy, lifestyle changes, etc. and none of that stuff really came close to touching my issues. I was planning on trying meds again soon but I procrastinated for weeks and weeks because I didn't even have the energy/motivation to call a psychiatrist, which should give an idea of how bad my brain has been.
I even tried CBD from a different company 2 years ago and it did nothing, but someone recommended a different brand to me recently and I thought it was worth a shot. My therapist explained how the quality and formulation can vary a lot from company to company.
Now I'm thinking about starting a career, finding a wife, buying a house together, having kids... jk lmao
I never expected anything to help and just assumed I would be suffering til I finally died. At least for now it seems that is not the case. I'm not necessarily happy, just feeling kinda neutral and not in constant pain.
If you haven't tried CBD yet, I think it is definitely worth exploring. It might just be a matter of finding the right formulation (I'm using the 25mg full-spectrum gummies from R+R Medicinals, still experimenting with dosage and such). It's not too expensive where I am and there's no downside to trying really. I've heard it can help with other stuff too like chronic physical pain but I don't have experience with that luckily.
