Can't stop thinking about how hurt my family will be

I'm planning to go through with it very soon and the thought of traumatizing my family keeps playing in my mind. My mom was sleeping downstairs earlier and woke up to what she thought were the sounds of my sister crying frantically upstairs, where both our rooms are. Right before that happened, I was just thinking about doing it then. What a coincidence...

I'm still determined to go through with it, but can't help but tear up a little thinking about how they will react

My 15 year old sister and 2 year old brother are the only reasons I haven't already left. The rest of my family will be devastated too, but they're the two I worry about the most. If I leave with any regrets/doubts/hangups, it'll have to do with them. I don't think I'll ever feel okay about leaving them to deal with the aftermath.

I'm sure you know this already, but these feelings are completely normal. Take care, I hope you find peace and answers soon.
