I can't breathe anymore, so I'm done. There's nothing else. I don't owe it to anyone to maintain this. I think I jinxed myself, because I was ruminating awhile back and said how I didn't want "anything anymore, not even air". That I just wanted to not be here anymore. Now I'm still here, but it feels like I can't breathe.

I can't buy a gun. That option was taken away from me.
I tried to buy a helium tank and was all ready to use it on the 6th, but as I was setting things up, I looked at it and saw that it was only 80% helium, which apparently won't work for a helium hood. I'm paranoid that if I try to buy a proper one now that I'll be taken away to the hospital again. When I was researching it, I read how those people who'd bought suicide kits from GLADD had their houses searched.

I need to find something that will ABSOLUTELY work and not lead to hospitalization where people will extort and taunt me. Any suggestions?

The simplest method requiring readily available equipment is the compression method using a tourniquet.

If you haven't done so already, download Five Last Acts available in the list of resources. Link to list of resources is in my signature.

Does anyone know how much flopping around a person does when they hang, and for how long? I got a necktie and plan on tying it to my closet shelf or around a doorknob and closing the door.

Feel iffy about trying to overdose or doing a tourniquet. Think the tourniquet will probably just unravel itself after I pass out and stop holding it, especially if I'm flailing around. An overdose might cripple you if it doesn't work. Robin Williams wedged the end of a belt in a closet door and used that to kind of hang himself with. Figure a necktie with a slipknot might do the trick, as long as it doesn't come off of whatever you tie it to...

The tourniquet method is reliable, but I understand if you are not comfortable with the method.

Partial hanging is very similar in principle in that you are trying to compress the carotid arteries. The key to both is to position the ligature correctly, which is no easy feat and will require some practice.

Please check the hanging mega thread for specific details.

Regards the flopping around, this varies from person to person, and depends mostly on how long it takes the oxygen in your body to be depleted, as the muscles require oxygen to function.
