Hello. I am pretty sure that meto gives me the feeling where I want to jump out of my body. No physical tremors. Just a form of claustrophobia. I'm pretty sure I was given this when I had a horrible migraine years ago.

I was reading through some old threads. @jgm63 said that they believe it's ok to take them together. Does anyone know if this is definitely ok? I know that diphenhydramine helps to prevent or decrease eps symptoms. But if I took diphenhydramine with meto at the 15 min mark(following stans guide), would this reduce the anti nausea ability of the meto? Should they be spaced out?

Does anyone know this for a fact? I'm thinking I'll take 25 mg of Benadryl(diphenhydramine) with meto to decrease possible eps type symptoms, without making me too tired to follow through with sn.

Any help is appreciated. Thank you.

Yes, if you experience some type of EPS when taking meto, then taking diphenhydramine (eg 50mg or less if the symptoms are mild) may help.
You should do some testing in advance.

In general, these notes may be helpful :

Damn I'm such an idiot.

Do you have any idea whether the mechanism of diphenhydramine would interfere with the anti-emetics properties of the meto?

Though I can't say for certain, based on some searches I've just done, I don't believe diphenhydramine interferes significantly with meto.

Pretreatment with diphenhydramine has been recommended to reduce risk for extrapyramidal side effects

Extrapyramidal reactions may result, particularly with high-dose treatment. Pediatric patients appear to be more susceptible. These reactions may be prevented by pretreatment with diphenhydramine (See Diphenhydramine).

Thanks. My line of reasoning was that if diphenhydramine stops EPS, it might be antagonistic to the dopamine receptor blocking action.

So two options remain for me, either take domperidone with diphenhydramine to potentiate the former, or with meto, to counter EPS.
