• Hey Guest,

As you know, censorship around the world has been ramping up at an alarming pace. The UK and OFCOM has singled out this community and have been focusing its censorship efforts here. It takes a good amount of resources to maintain the infrastructure for our community and to resist this censorship. We would appreciate any and all donations.

Can partial hanging go wrong? I mean you get brain damage or become a vegetable without actually dying? In case no one finds you and interferes

That is a very real risk with any method, but especially hanging. You are cutting off blood flow and thus oxygen to your brain for extended periods of time. Attempting suicide is not something to take lightly.

I know that..but what I meant how could hanging go wrong besides someone interfering midtime.. assuming you already fell unconscious
Can you elaborate how things could go wrong

Yes. Plenty of cases on Google. Not a pretty site though so be warned.

Yes. If any method goes wrong, there is a risk of terrible damage.

Google drug methods to read the toxicology.
Many methods reduce or eliminate oxygen to the brain. Google that to see how it goes.
Guns, jumping and other violent methods are pretty self explanatory.

There is a grey area between consciousness and death where the body can still control itself somewhat and it will 100% fight for survival without you being there.
  • People have stood up. Your muscles can contract in such a way to get your feet under you. You stand up, relieve the pressure and suddenly you are breathing again but you have also now been without air for some time and who knows what parts of your brain may or may not turn back on.
  • Your anchor/rope could break. People severely underestimate their "dead weight". Even if you hang from something to test it, you are still supporting yourself somewhat which takes the strain off of your anchor. Once you completely relax, you are actually "heavier" than you are while conscious.
  • You flail. The brain starts wildly firing as it starts to die. You could shift position, break your anchor (now you are moving and tugging on it), even twist out of your ligature.
All of these things can happen past your loss of consciousness, which means damage has already started. How long you can go and still be "fine" varies from person to person.

I have not personally heard of any cases of this happening, but then again vegetables can not write their story on a forum. Make sure your anchor is sturdy, your knots are strong, and you will be alone for several hours afterwards.

Of course you can get brain damage without dying.

Suicide means intentionally doing so much damage to your body that you die from it. With hanging, that happens over a short period of time instead of in a split second. So yes, there is a chance that you end up with enough damage to have permanent issues but not enough to die.

In a word YES!
Anything causing hypoxia cause cause damage & profound disability. When I was a nurse I had patients at a state hospital that were stuck in their bodies in a chronic vegetative state with no hope of recovery. They were completely 100% dependent on others , lived in diapers & had to be fed.
In other words PLEASE DONT ATTEMPT!! 🤗🌹💔

Man.several hours?.all I have is an hour
Technically it only takes 40 minutes to fully die from hanging (be way past the point where medical personnel could save you). However, we generally recommend several hours in case you are some weird 1% that takes longer to die or your method is not perfect or maybe you hesitate and do not attempt until 5, 15, 25 minutes in.

If you are worried about becoming a vegetable, an hour is cutting it too close for comfort in my opinion.

40 mins? I read in the hanging threads that 5 minutes you're brain is already damaged 10 minutes complete death,20 minutes max!!
Also I read someone who attempted partial that he vomited and he fasted ? Is that necessary?

Well, I would also add going to the bathroom... I imagine that the anxiety in the moments before must be extreme, so I would also take those precautions...

You need 30 minutes alone to make sure that if you are found, they cannot keep your body alive. Life support does not require your brain.
A "loving" family will keep you around forever if they can. Do you want to risk that?

An hour would be enough as it takes max 20 minutes to fully die from the point u become unconscious and even that is an exaggeration. Idk where the other guy gets his info from but i think he might be also counting the time before u become unconscious which varies from survival instinct and etc, but it doesnt matter since you cant get pernamnet damage until you go unconscious.

I have never heard fasting suggested before any sort of hanging. My guess is he was nervous and/or he gagged. There is a possibility of the rope making you gag from the way it sits around your neck. I have had it happen. I had to sit up and readjust.
