I am curious if I can use Kava as a legal alternative to Benzos for CTBing on SN?

If in your experience it's calmed your nerves then yes.
Benzos aren't needed for the SN method. They only calm you down and prevent anxiety.

With some people who use benzos it seems like it is possible that they fall asleep faster and may be less likely to vomit, but this is only based on a few anecdotal cases and this is really just a guess.

If that's a reason they're being used I'd be more likely to risk vomiting with a bit of diphenhydramine.
Since vomiting commonly happens regardless of the regimen used.

There are three recent (Oct30 and forward) threads where vomiting didn't happen (@Cheers, @patheticpartner, @Cannedbones) and they seemed to ctb using SN, though we may never know for sure. Cheers only had an otc anti-emitic but she also had benzos, patheticpartner had meto but no benzos, and cannedbones had motilium and benzos.

I suppose it's person to person. I feel I know my body enough to say I won't vomit since I've only vomited a handful of times (from uninformed attempts) and my stomach has only seemed to get stronger. If a benzo is truly impossible for someone to get ahold of then they should substitute with whatever else calms them I suppose.

Yeah I don't recommend. OTC antihistamines by the dozens are very easy and legal too. You may have scary hallucinations along with a general 'TRIPPY' experience, but pair it with alcohol or something else to overdose. Maybe even your cava.!
