I red online that it's a way to ctb, is it right? Is it easy?

Nope. If you could I'd have used mine a long time ago lol. SSRI's don't really work for that.

They are incorrect and it is not easy.

Antidepressants like venlafaxine are designed around being hard to overdose on. Since it's not an efficient or effective method, we don't have any information beyond that.

it'll be a long and painful process even if it does work. or worst, you survive and left with permanent liver damage.

Nope. And it's not a good idea to try it. There's a good chance you'll end up doing yourself more harm but not enough to ctb. As others have said, it's very difficult to ctb via antidepressants due to their formulation.

You would have to take a huge amount and then wait for very painful organ failure.

Antidepressants can't kill you, they now make them "safe" so that it isn't lethal

As someone who tried with that exact med years ago, please don't do this.

I mixed it as part of a cocktail, with it being the highest quantity.

10/10 don't recommend.

Yes, it is possible to die from an overdose of venlafaxine! Cases are described in the literature!

I read so often that antidepressants are not fatal. I find this statement extremely dangerous. There are quite a few people who plan or desire an appelative suicide attempt. But hardly anyone would ever admit that. I don't find that reprehensible either, the pressure of suffering is still extremely high, otherwise people wouldn't do it. And to say to such people, no problem, you don't die from an overdose of antidepressants.... That scares me. Tricyclic antidepressants in particular are quickly fatal. But SSRIs or SNRIs (= venlafaxine) can also be fatal. But it is probably a really serious death, because symptoms can be, for example, heart palpitations, seizures, cardiac arrhythmias.

I don't mean my answer to say that the OP is planning an attempt that she would like to survive!!! But there are so many others reading along here. Whose story and age you don't know. I was in a psychiatric ward for 2 years as a teenager. No one seriously (!!) wanted to die then. But there were always attempts. And yes, I was pro-choice even as a teenager, but you have to be very careful with the statement that you can't kill yourself with it.

Sorry for mistakes, I used a translator.

Much love,
Regen

Maybe
Safe apart from the side effect of increasing suicidal ideation.
yeah, that's horrible but what I meant was that even high over dose is not likely to kill you like back in the days. It will just damage your organs

I once took venlafaxine years ago, I had to stop because had terrible effects on my blood pressure. I suppose that if you have other medical conditions it COULD help, but the carton box is more lethal than the medication itself IMO.

Yeah, I agree with you there.

Only thing it gave me was an involuntary stay in hospital with them needing to monitor my heart, & messed up brain for a while: everything was too bright, headaches, etc.

Can you share your experience of what happened with your unsuccessful OD?
