Title. I can't find the sweet spot to make myself pass out. I don't get the seizing reaction from any position. I don't feel a pulse on the sides under my jaw. I can feel it near my windpipe, but it does not make me pass out. The question is, can I CTB without all that?

Good question. I have the same problem l, can't find my sweet spot and I can't pass out from pushing on the carotid arteries. I have wanted the try ligature strangulation by using zip ties but I wonder the same thing, like do they need the be positioned a certain way for it to work. I am now looking into freezing cold water drowning all of this is scary and I am so so afraid of failing and making my life even worse. I hope you get some good answers on here.

I've tested out partial hanging a lot so I can get used to it before my ctb date, and I always get to the point I'm about to pass out. I never put it on any specific spot on my neck, I don't think it really matters as long as the ligature is tight enough and you're putting enough pressure down.

Me neither, I've tried ligature strangulation and partial, only get an exploding head feeling which sucks.

Apparently if you go FSH then you're pretty much guaranteed to occlude the carotids, but any other way does not guarantee enough force/pressure

With FSH you have a high chance of CTB without knowing where your carotids are, since you're also compressing the trachea. But it could be long and painful if you don't pass out.

The trachea is lower, the larynx will be compressed (it is part of the airway), along with the arteries and veins.

The correct positioning of the ligature and knot to be used (self-tightening and not fixed) are fundamental to losing consciousness quickly.

Please, never attempt blindly; it's best to read and research first and leave nothing to chance.

Yes, sorry for using the wrong anatomical term. Thank you for pointing it out.
The idea behind the message was the same as yours: "Don't put yourself at risk of suffering immensely if there are ways to do it in a much more peaceful way."

I have found a spot in the middle of my neck from which I feel pulse. However, I am not able to make myself pass out. Is it the right one? I heard that carotid arteries are deep inside the neck.
