I've been trying to find this exact quote but I can't remember the exact phrasing and I can't find it anywhere on the internet. The quote went something along the lines of: "when we are children we are spectators at the theater but as adults-" something something I can't remember the rest. Nope. I actually finally found it just after I posted this lol, just my luck I guess. It's a Schopenhauer quote: "In early youth, as we contemplate our coming life, we are like children in a theatre before the curtain is raised, sitting there in high spirits and eagerly waiting for the play to begin. It is a blessing that we do not know what is really going to happen". Thanks for the comment though.
