I personally don't agree with it because I've read stories of how messed up it can leave train drivers. Many leave their jobs after and I've seen a case where the driver also ctb at a later date. I get why people would do this if they are desperate and impulsive but otherwise, I don't think it's a good method. Also, think it's quite a violent way to go making it harder for friends and family to deal with. I'd hate to think someone I knew went out that way.. that's just my personal opinion though :)

Peraonal things....
Short thing: No

Longer version, it traumatizes the driver, the passengers, any bystanders, children, then cleanup crew, then maintenance people who have to remove "parts" from things, then police, and EMS in general. The only person who won't be traumatized is the coroner/mortician, and that's only if they've seen it before. Then taking away the mental issues (that yes, sometimes lead to some of THEM ctb'ing because of the trauma), you make people late, inconveniencing a lot of people for no reason other than to ctb yourself. And you may have shut down the train for cleaning, and stops, and... well so many, hundreds/thousands will be affected, and for no reason othat than you wanted to ctb.

Now "regular train"... same thing... seriously... they have to call people, shut down a line, postpone entire delivery... it's just.... no....

I really believe that if someone is going to, they should do something that minimizes the aftermath for others. But that's my personal thing. There's ways for that, but not this.

Nope, unfairly traumatises the driver. The only use of a train in your suicide attempt should be as travel to your destination!

Train would be an option for me; I live very close to the main train hub in this city. That said, IF I were choosing this route, I'd likely go at night, when there lots of cargo trains (not passenger) and I'd dress in dark clothing to minimize being seen. Once the train was approaching, I'd "dive" onto the tracks at the last minute possible.

I won't be using this method but have surely considered it.

Thumbs up for you honesty. I can honestly imagine an impulsively suicidal person leap in front of the train. To focus on the "inconvenience" it will leave in its wake misses the point. But the train moves on...
