Do you think stores will be suspicious if a person only buys a rope? Anyone done it?

Nope, there are many uses for a rope.

I did a few days ago. No one cared. Most people's minds don't automatically make the leap to suicide.

Tell them it's for sport/gym or you buy it for someone else. Why the hell would they care lol. They want your money. Maybe buy it online.

You are buying a rope, not a machine gun. Relax.

It was a 9/16th rope that would handle about 990 pounds. I got it at Home Depot. I got 20 feet of it.

I'm also wondering about the same thing. I live in a nanny state in Western Europe. But soon I will find out. When I do I shall post an update on this thread.

No one will be concerned enough to call the cops on you. My parents would be suspicious, though. That's why I'm getting a job just to have an excuse for some movement, free of them.

No, not unless you act suspicious while buying it. Same with buying a knife or a firearm.

I was thinking this aswell when i bought mine.
But nothing at all was said to me it was just like i was buying anything else in the store.
I also bought some chocolate don't know if that effected things
But really there are loads of reasons to be buying rope
and i'm sure people buy it everyday.

When I bought a firearm no one budged. They're so common where I am everyone expects you to own one. You should be fine with a rope, people buy them all the time for different reasons.

Lol suicidal people are a paranoid bunch. But I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought something similar when I was buying mine.
