bought this polyester rope, what do you think?

so i just bought this rope, i still dont understand the difference between the 700kg and max 140kg symbol meanings (even the guy at the store couldnt explain it haha) do you know what its supposed to mean?...
anyway im not too worried, this rope should be able to hold me as i weigh 70kg..

i could be wrong im only using common sense (what i see and what makes sense to me.) but the 700 has arrows pulling it apart (so attaching it to 2 cars and driving away from each other) and the 140k has an arrow pointing down which tells me thats the amount of downward pressure it can take before it snaps (so the # youd want for hanging)

To me it looks like it can pull a 700 kg load before tearing, and safely carry a 140 kg load. There are different forces at play for each action there. Think about a tug of war, you can pull a lot of men but there's no way you could carry them. When you carry a load you have to resist the entire force of gravity, when you pull a load you only need to provide momentum, and resist friction, if any.

Ah yeah good point, so the number you want to use for hanging is going to be 140 kg. I believe the store owner wouldn't know the difference because not everyone has studied the same things(mechanics).

Aa ok, thanks a lot. Given the fact i weigh 70kg i should be ok right? Like, the rope is not gonna tear after hanging for 30mins etc?

It's only 6mm so is likely to be painful. You may need some padding on your neck to ease this.

Truthfully, it might be strong enough and it might not- very borderline. It holds 140kg going straight down, but you would be twisting around, which adds a lot of torque, I think the rule I heard somewhere is that it needs to be able to support several times your weight due to the torque of twisting around. It may or may not break, it's very borderline in my opinion.
