Help Best way to commit suicide in a dorm room

Hi everyone,

I'm looking for a method to commit suicide in a dorm room. I don't live with anyone, so I can lock my door and most definitely not be discovered for at least a few hours. It's however, pretty much impossible to get anything shipped here, and the stuff that does get shipped will get screened by the staff, so getting SN or anything similar is pretty unlikely.

I like chemistry, and I have access to chemistry labs through school, so I've considered maybe synthesizing potassium cyanide, but I've heard it a pretty agonising death, as well as being hard to make pure.

I've looked at suspension hanging, but honestly, finding a fixture point is pretty hard. The only thing I can think of is doing the slipknot end around my neck, and putting the other part with tension through the closed door, but that would be pretty sus (rope hanging out of door).

Any and all help is greatly appreciated.

Have you thought of getting a PO box, and getting whatever you want delivered to the PO box? Companies that provide PO boxes are obligated to respect your privacy by the law and aren't going to open your packages and go through them for whatever reason.

If you don't mind me asking, are you in the UK? The reason I ask is, have you considered getting a PO box? I did that and got my SN shipped there and didn't have any problems.

I would assume there is some sort of similar option wherever you are, but can't say without knowing what country you're in.

A PO box? In the UK? How would I do this and how much does it cost?

Both actually super good ideas, I'm not in the UK but my country does have something similar to PO boxes, which I'll look more into

That's a very good question actually. I guess my issue with SN would lie with all the other (somewhat) needed stuff to make it work, which I don't think I can get all in the lab.

You can get them at the post office. It's a box where you have mail delivered to. I got one with a private company instead, because I found the application process for the post office to be tiresome, and the private company I went for was roughly the same price.

I paid £25 a month for three months, so 75 in total (SN takes a while to be delivered so don't expect to just be able to get one for a month). It might sound a bit pricey, but the way I see it, it's one of the most important decisions of your life so if it makes things easier and more comfortable, and is affordable then it's worth it.

If you go for one, make sure to read the terms and conditions, to ensure there isnt a lengthy minimum term, as some places cheekily slip that in there and don't make it clear.

I would have a google to find the best option in your area - but if you are really struggling let me know and I'll PM you the one I went with - although I think that business is only a thing in certain cities, hence why I'd say to have a Google for yourself in the first instance.

Edit: just noticed you arent in the UK, so the stuff I said on pricing might be completely irrelevant to you, but like I said just have a look and see what is available.

if you managed to order SN, you'd be able to do a lab test or something to check that it's legit. There's some confusion at the moment whether SN someone bought is actually nitrate or nitrite.
