I'll preface this by saying a bit more about my circumstances if anyone has any similar experiences or if anyone could point me in a good direction to getting them would be great. I have an ok doctor I have no idea how he goes with prescriptions but he's listened to me a a fair amount and has given me help with what I've asked in the past. I have my SN testing pending so just need some Benzos.

I am on antidepressants only with him in last 2 months but have been on and off them with other Dr in the past, should I just go to him and say that my depression is going ok but my anxiety is ramping up still and I need something stronger to help me sleep as I've only been getting 4 hours or so a night? I could get on his good side saying oh I don't want to get addicted or anything maybe just a small amount to take on nights I really need to sleep before work or events or such when my anxiety is bad, do you think that would be convincing since I'm not running in saying I need exactly this medication and want it I be regular blah blah?

I've never had a welfare check before and never been to hospital ever for mental or physical health issues either so it seems more legit to ask for a small amount for a bit of extra "help" relaxing and sleeping?

Anyone had any experience with this!

I take benzos (diazepam + zolpidem) because of my severe anxiety and my muscle spasms. But I'm in France and we are world champions with anxiety pills prescriptions so it's easier to get. I told my psychiatrist I didn't want to get addicted, so I take only 5mg (and it's actually true because I don't want to get addicted and benzos makes you drowsy).
You can tell your doctor about your bad sleep and if you're in constant stress, I'm sure he/she will understand. Or try maybe telehealth if it doesn't work.
