The truth of benzo withdrawal length lies between 18-36 months. Not weeks or some months!

I mean, I guess you can still say 72 weeks or 144 weeks. Or, alternatively, 18 months or 36 months.

It annoys me how a lot of people Dr included do not know that benzo withdrawal can last so long.

At least I didnt have seizures! But my headpressure!

I have consumed Valium for three months and tapered it off in January 2020. I am in month 17 of my withdrawal and still have symptoms.

I do expect that my withdrawal will be over between 18-24 months.

Maybe I could ctb by discontinuing Xanax & inducing some kind of a seizure. I've been on it for 20 years. Yes, my doctor is actually okay with that :))

i could tapered it off and then suicide because you cant stand those houndred of symptoms!

I know a woman who comsumed benzos for 6 years and commited suicide because she couldnt stand the symptoms anymore.

I have to say, I am consuming Seroquel(quetiapin) for 1 year on high dose. Now, I know from the Internet that sone people experience horrible quetiapin withdrawal like horrible itchiness, pain, naosea, headache, dizziness, anxiety, panic attacks, restlesness, tension and mostly total insomnia. Some people also reported that their symptoms lasted 3 years! I am not interested to go 3 years with horrible withdrawal symptoms!

I also read that a lot of people stay on minimum 25mg of quetiapin, because otherwise they cant sleep anymore! If you believe this wouldn't bother me, then you dont know me.

It seem I have found new reasons to commit suicide.

Yeah, it's wild to think that most psychiatrist just tell you that you won't have much trouble getting off benzos, and some don't even mention the extremely high addictive potential of these drugs, or that some people never truly recover after using it for many years.

I went through it a couple of years ago, after some reading on it I found that many people who abused multiple drugs feel that heroin was much easier to overcome, heroin! and I absolutely believe them, this was hell for me.

I took it for just under 3 months, the withdrawal lasted 6 months until I replaced it with pregabalin, which has a similar withdrawal and effects but it's much easier for me to aquire, so in a way I never fully recovered :notsure:

Well, it makes sense.
I stopped taking all my meds suddenly last year and after 6 months I tried to ctb, failed, and then suffered for another 6 months.
