I am 75 and relate to the line from the first Star Wars movie when Hans Solo said, "I have been from one end of the galaxy to the other and have seen a lot of strange things".
As physical systems begin to fail, one finds a more limited range of physical activities. The prospect of what happens after death becomes a subject of growing interest. I find comfort in my Christian faith, but it was a long time cultivating that because there is so much one has to sift through to find that which is useful.
It can be more difficult without family or friends. However, there are organizations that can provide a sort of community of support. My sister goes to a swimming pool once a week that has a time for elderly people and has friends there.
