'Small hare's-ear (Bupleurum baldense) in flower on a crumbling chalk clifftop near Beachy Head, East Sussex. This tiny umbellifer is found at only two sites on the British mainland - the East Sussex colony occurs "on eroding chalk...within half a metre of the cliff edge".
Extreme care is needed when searching for this species - according to the Flora of Sussex (2018), some botanists "have been approached by members of the Samaritans who feared them to be contemplating suicide".' (Twitter)
