Catatonia - a guide for autistic adults
This guide looks at how catatonia can affect autistic adults and what we can do to help.

Has anyone ever experienced this?
I discovered the term like last year and it described a lot of my experiences. I think it can really relate to CPTSDfreeze/be similar but a lot of overlaps with everything. There's a youthbe video linked in the article of someones experience and they do not mention the anti anxiety medication by name but it's a benzo from what I remember.
I have found benzos and other anti anxiety medication extremely helpful during these times but I take them for other reasons. (So the dose I'd need would need to be higher. Or I find my zoplicone helpful.)
I tried to get some help from those around me like my support workers about it but I don't think they understood or took me seriously. So, it's just discovering by accident that the zoplicone helps. It's hard to get autistic care where I live for free so. Especially for adults. I don't have much hope of help anymore anyway.
I wanted to see if other people have experienced this.
