Yeah that's what I thought about objects used to ctb, especially a firearm (my favorite).

A firearm doesn't care that it's shooting a projectile, it is a non-sentient piece of elaborate matter, made of plastic, wood, and metal. It doesn't care or have the capacity to do harm/good on it's own. It requires an operator to operate it and does what the operate makes it do (discharge a round).

It also doesn't like/dislike/love/hate me, it won't reject me or fail me (provided I take care of it - cleaning it and replacing parts if I shoot it frequently.)
