Are you afraid of losing your independence?
I'm increasingly considering CTB (Cognitive Biological Therapy) because my Ehlers-Danlos syndrome is gradually robbing me of my independence, with no hope of a cure (I've shared my life story here and there on this forum).
I'm worried about the pain, my vision (I have eye problems), my bowel and hearing issues, the fact that I can no longer properly wash myself, and having to postpone essential tasks, including eating and grocery shopping.
I'm extremely scared of my life and incredibly angry when I see people my age living their lives, traveling everywhere, starting families, achieving social status and wealth, while I'm gifted, apparently with an IQ of 140, but in a physical wreck. My brain seems only good for lamenting my fate with as much lucidity as possible—a fine punishment from damn nature, which decided to ruin my life from birth with terrible genetics.
