I need someome knowledgeable in physics or something to answer this question, I read some people actually float if they stop moving so this would totally mess up the method (would become unconscious before with F or smth like that)

I'm wondering if this is a possible outcome and weights would be needed, and how much weight would be needed to guarantee dropping down to the bottom of the sea.

Off topic: may I ask why you would choose this method? Had a near death experience with drowning when I was younger and it was far from pleasant. Never again for me.

I'll take that as a no.

There was a user on here that tried to use pills in unison with drowning. The story sounded like a nightmare and they were unsuccessful. Drowning is supposed to be fairly painful as well.

If you're set on this as a method I'd recommend using the search bar. There's a few resources on this already. One of them basically involved hyperventilation being used to create a blackout.

I think I'd use something like divers weights if I chose this as a method.

Yeah theres some info but not very precise, and didnt see an answer about if weights are actually needed to make sure of drowning, while searching.

One of my friends had a niece who filled her backpack with rocks and walked into a river (she was successful). Personally, I would need a whole trunk-full, as I can't stay underwater no matter how hard I try - just float to the top like a balloon. Must be all the hot air, ha!

If you can't equalize ears you will blow them since you need to equalize them as deep as 1 meter. The blackout 'shallow' happen from gaining the surface again, given the change in pressure and lungs volume in relation to 02 remaining after a dive.

Damn that's why I'm not sure about this method
