• Hey Guest,

As you know, censorship around the world has been ramping up at an alarming pace. The UK and OFCOM has singled out this community and have been focusing its censorship efforts here. It takes a good amount of resources to maintain the infrastructure for our community and to resist this censorship. We would appreciate any and all donations.

I tried my best

A few days ago, I was still feeling a bit better (in fact, that evening I was feeling very better, almost happy). I thought my life can finally get better and although I expected some things to go wrong, I was very confident that my life can get better. Even in my wildest dreams, I couldn't imagine my life getting worse

That night I saw a vivid dream. Very vivid. I rarely see vivid dreams. In that dream, I was feeling panicked that I lost my job. In my whole dream, I was basically searching for a job desperately and getting rejected / feeling stuck

When I woke up, that dream was so real that I felt intensely grateful it was just a scarily vivid dream

Well turns out, that morning I almost lost my job. My salary dropped so much and basically I was kindly warned that maybe I will be fired

I am scientific minded, not emotional, not easily believing in anything. But this was too big a coincidence

I saw that dream predicting tomorrow, so is fate real?

You have to be me to know how I felt. You may think I simply overreact, but no,not at all. In fact, I forgot that dream and only after one day, I suddenly remembered it and felt amazed how it predicted my next day

Maybe this night I will see a dream regarding my ctb decision

Did you ever see strange, predictive dreams?
Maybe everything really happens for a reason, including good, bad events and even ctb... We just don't know yet

I occasionally have these sort of weird dreams. A lot of the time, it's only very vague or minor "predictions". For example, I'll have a dream where xyz topic comes up in a conversation at a specific place, forget 90% of this, then later get major deja vu when it happens. Or I'll dream about a split second moment where I'm walking down a sidewalk and trip at one exact spot, it later happens IRL, and I get this flash memory of the dream I previously all but forgot.

Tangently related, I've also had moments where I sort of have my own "personal Mandela effects" where I'm 99.999% sure something has changed, but I can't prove it, and only have my memory to go off of. I've read theories before that these happen (if they're real and not just mass misremembering) because either someone has died and "switched universes" (quantum immortality), or because of there being parallel realities. As an example, I've been making the same cookie recipe for the last couple weeks, because I've had it consistently turn out well. I even copied down the recipe offline and into PC / notes in case the online version gets deleted or altered. I've all but memorized it, just don't remember order of steps. Went to make the same cookies today, checked the list, and an ingredient that wasn't there before is now listed on both the online and offline copies. I'm absolutely certain it's never been there prior and I've read this thing dozens of times. And I'm the type to refuse to make something if I don't for sure have all ingredients, so I don't think it's an issue of me not reading it correctly because I'm very careful with these things (have screwed up stuff before trying to substitute, so generally follow recipes to a T). It's weird and kind of creeps me out, but since it's not a big major probable thing, what can ya do?

I agree with everything. Thank you for your reply

yeah, it creeps us out. i totally forgot existence of my dream until next day. next day i suddenly remembered my dream predicted i would lose my job. I would think it's still a eerie coincidence - but my dream was too VIVID, too damn realistic - I rarely see such dreams and i dont take any drugs or alcohol so i can see such dreams.

That's why i am not sure - maybe afterlife does exist?

My friend has a dream that someone close had committed suicide. I had been thinking about it very intensely already at that point.

Same! I would have these dreams that have minute details of conversation, when and where but this would unfold within months or even a few years ahead. That sense of sudden deja vu like you've been here and realise this just happened right after repeating what was done in the dream.

I've read anecdotes and knew someone who had dreams of the people in their lives who died and recall the dream was particularly very vivid almost like they didn't dream it and were taken somewhere else receiving a message from the dead person to comfort them or to tell someone something. When they do apparently it's information they would otherwise never have known.

I had a dream that I thought was like this where I was surrounded by pillars in this open space with groups of people around the area sitting on the ground and relaxing. Straight ahead of me was a projector playing maybe my life but it was out of focus and I was not watching it. My head was rested on the lap of an old friend of mine who stroked my hair gingerly and gently, as if she was soothing me. I couldn't see her face, but I knew it was her by her distinct hair and clothing. This was vivid and I still remember it but in reality she's still alive and well. Part of me wonders if she nearly died at that time I dreamed but maybe it was just a strange but pleasant dream.

I've experienced something like this too. I don't expect people to believe it. I don't entirely believe it myself. Sometimes I wonder if it was some type of deja vu thing but, once I had a dream that came true in minute detail. As in- not just vaguely the premise of something. The actual thing in detail. It was really banal too.

I dreamt we were at a school fete. My Dad, my step relations and me. My step relations went off to look at the stalls but it was the next bit I dreamt in detail. They both came back with something they'd bought in small jewellery boxes and I knew what they were before they opened them. Both had jade coloured small sculptures of animals. I wanted to say something but I felt so unnerved.

I felt sure I had remembered it precisely from a dream. Not just that weird feeling that something seems familiar- so- not deja vu. My Nana used to believe she was psychic actually and, she did seem to pick up on things. So, I used to almost hope I'd be similarly gifted. I don't think I am though.

I truly don't know though. Nothing like it has happened since. It definitely makes me wonder if things are predestined and maybe there are other ways that time works other than the linear version we usually experience. But then, I don't really believe that entirely either. I'd be willing to accept another more reasonable explanation- if I could think of one.

I definitely believe our brains can come up with all sorts. I occassionally have optical hallucinations when I first wake up. Like my mind will 'see' stuff even quite clearly in the room that isn't there. Usually, it's based around something that is there but, my mind turns it into something else. This was so specific though- plus, so everyday. It was weird.

I'm so sorry about your situation though. Tonight, I hope you dream you win the lottery and that that comes true too.

No, strange dreams aren't a sign of anything.

I am scientific minded, not emotional, not easily believing in anything. But this was too big a coincidence

^You are less rational than you realize. People in general aren't that rational by default. We have all sorts of unconscious, automatic processes happening in the background. We tend to be biased in ways we aren't conscious of. We will come to conclusions based on emotion-based intuitions, use reasoning to justify our conclusions, and then believe that our conclusion is logical and stand by it, even when it doesn't hold up to scrutiny. You are likely a lot more easily swayed into believing bullshit than you truly realize.

People have a tendency to assign connections between things, even when that connection doesn't truly exist. We intuitively believe in causation, not just mere correlation. It's more likely that this is just a coincidence. Hell, the fact that you forgot it is already kind of a red flag. How do you know that you even remembered it properly? How do you know that it actually predicted your day and this wasn't the result of your brain trying its best to fill in the missing puzzle pieces? Along with that, losing your job is a pretty common occurrence that plenty of people go through. Who is to say that, assuming that you even remembered your dream correctly, this wasn't just a coincidence?
