anyone wish magic was real?

I often find myself wishing for magic powers. money problems? well I could just transmute gold! I'm not attractive enough? well I could just shapeshift into a beautiful woman! transit being annoying? why not teleport. need to make someone feel good? conjure supernaturally sweet treats! need to relax? freeze time! lonely? clone yourself. even if I would still want to die after all this, I could at least effortlessly vanish without a trace in total peace. anybody else feel this way?

Yaas this was my childhood dream. I wished that magic was real and that I could go to Hogwarts. Even today, I still wish that magic were real. It would be so cool to have magical powers (that could solve all my problems).

I always wish that magic is real, so much so that I actively fantasize about it anytime I'm not focusing on something else (though, sometimes these fantasies interfere with these moments too). If it was real, I feel like all my problems would be solved.

Oh yes, I actually wish both magic and monsters (not necessarily evil ones) were real, even if it wouldn't fix any problems in this world or in my life. Of course, this is probably a case of the grass being greener on the other side, but it's certainly a thought that appeals to fantasy. I'd love to learn magic that allows me to communicate with animals, to know what they're thinking and feeling. I'd love to be able to change my body at will too. I never liked human feet all that much. I'd much prefer hooves or paws.

I wonder what the world would be like with so many more possibilities. Maybe we would all still feel so sad and so powerless. Maybe there's magic in this world and we just haven't tapped into it yet. I guess we must keep going to find out.

Now more than ever. I'm on season 4 of the syfy show The Magicians and I'm about halfway through the first book. The stuff they do and bonds they have in the book are just amazing.
