And that is exactly why I've cut all ties with all but 2 friends. I also don't leave the house unless to go to theirs rarely, so don't have to deal with other people. I know people can't understand unless they've been through it/similar themselves, but some people don't even try. Just judge. I'm sorry you've had a shitty experience too! :(

I think a lot of people have lost their empathy, and are so wrapped up in their own lives that they fail to see another's pain.
I think a lot of it comes from as a species we have lost the community. We don't live like we used to years ago. People generally just live for themselves and their needs and wants.
Just an opinion.
