II was close to learning guitar, but eventually left it due to some of the emotional problems getting in the way. :(
I also gave the thought of buying a synth a couple of times, but... The upper above. : /
Rather than that, all sort of music is welcome in my book. From epic metal to crazy techno stuff. :)
Oh that's sick! Violin& piano sound so cool, you cna play all kinds of music with those! For how long did you play?A bit of piano.. and I used to play guitar and violin.
That's neat! I tried some keyboard myself tho XD. Yo still play it? How did it turn out?i can play some piano, but i'm not very good at all. taught myself though.
Those instruments are pretty great too. Ever think about picking them back up again?Used to play piano and violin. haven't touched them in years
That's neat! What kinda guitar an flute did you play, did u ever try anything else or stick w those for years?Piano / guitar / flute
There are many creative people here, myself included. I've played multiple instruments for over half of my life. The problem with depression though is that many of us lose our drive to continue pursuing creativity or hobbies.I'd like to know if there are any creative people here
Electric guitar, and old traditional flute. Tried many things, moved on to sports afterwardsThose instruments are pretty great too. Ever think about picking them back up again?

That's sick! I love electric guitar! Especially the different sounds u can get from it, what's ur fav song/genre to play?I'm currently trying to learn electric guitar. I'm not very good bu i have plenty of time to exercise it.
That's neat an electric guitar can sound so badass! For how long did you play both instruments?Electric guitar, and old traditional flute. Tried many things, moved on to sports afterwards
Yeah depression can be a real bitch, tell me bout that one. Once lost my drive to it as well, feeling energized by the things you love is hard at those moments. What instruments did you play before u lost ur drive? There are many creative people here, myself included. I've played multiple instruments for over half of my life. LOL the devil's music XD. That's funny, kinda sad it made yu quit tho it's a beautiful instrument. Acoustic guitar is a great instrument as well, are you self taught or do u have a teacher?Love music to death.. literally. I learnt the violin when I was five. But then someone told my dad its the devils instruments, so thats that. Then I learnt the piano for around 8 years. I didnt actually like it then. Now I am learning acoustiic guitar and its quite fun to noodle around the guitar

I've wanted to play bassoon, but they're so damn expensive :/Piano, bassoon, clarinet, timpani, and marimba/xylophone
I'm not sure if the bassoon or the subsequent nervous breakdowns I had as a music major nearly twenty years ago were more expensive.I've wanted to play bassoon, but they're so damn expensive :/
Hmmm, it's nothing new rlly I've just always liked music from a young age and played some myself. I decided to ask this question to distract myself a lil from what goes trough my head at times.Self taught, but I learnt the piano and viollin from teachers, so it just helps to know a bit of music theory I guess. Wbu? What got you interested enough in music to ask this question on SS?
TDG has some good songs!!Once i play "Home" from three days grace, was great, cant do it again
I am up for the share thing! Perhaps everyone should too, haha! Though, there already seems to be a Thread for that. :)
Oh well!
Once again, the drums thing sounds epic, I hope you manage to learn more and share with us about it! X3
We actually both own an electric guitar as well as acoustic one here at home. :)
They are my dad's, even though her barely has time to play himself or try to.
Sometimes yes! :D If anything, he can be like a teacher. Haha, true about the sharing thing btw! And I'd say def try to up your skills. :) Playing an instrument can be a very great skill to have.Yeah that's true there's already a thread for that, I just rlly like listening and sharing it at times XD.
And yeah I've been playing drums for 1 and a half year but I'd rlly like to get better at it. Luckily vacation is coming in so I cna rlly up my skills, sharing would be p cool too Ig :)
And the guitar thing is cool u guys have so many, I just have 1 acoustic guitar :p. But since ur dad plays so little do u pick it up at times?
Yeah having parents that play instrument seems like the coolest thing as a child! Sadly I don't have anyone that rlly plays an instrument in my family, so guess I'm out here with no one but random strangers to teach me XD.Sometimes yes! :D If anything, he can be like a teacher. I believe you will manage! :) It's hard at first, but once you get down to knowing the basics and all of that, I am sure it gets even more interesting from there. The teacher thing you mentioned where they were impatient sucks though. :(Yeah having parents that play instrument seems like the coolest thing as a child! Upping skills is the hardest part tho, damn haha but I'll try to learn some new stuff :p
Yeah it didn't feel good tbh, Like they were trying to rush me. and when u go about it that way I lock up instead and I end up not playing at all :(. I rlly hope I get a good teacher after the vacation ends cuz honestly, I still miss my old one :(I believe you will manage! :) It's hard at first, but once you get down to knowing the basics and all of that, I am sure it gets even more interesting from there.
