Anyone here ever have close brushes with death?

One time I swerved my car in the rain to avoid a deer and my car ended up flipping over a few times across the road and I very narrowly missed crashing into a tree.

Since then, it's been reassuring to me how much and how easily I accepted death in those moments, and how negligible the fear was. even though it's a different situation it's given me some confidence in my ability to CTB.

Anyone else ever have near brushes with death? What was it, what was it like for you, did you meet those moments with fear or resignation or a bit of both?

I crashed my car into a house. I had a seizure so I was blacked out for all of it. I don't remember much of it so I don't think I'm overly traumatized

I almost drowned when I was a kid, apparently two minutes with my head under water without knowing how to swim. Since that day I have a phobia of... heights.
Well, I guess it didn't upset me too much.

I fell off my roof twice. Also, went down on my motorcycle at high speeds while being chased by cops. I think they hit me from behind like a pit maneuver. But, I've crashed my dirtbike numerous times, so not sure those count. Had a gun pointed at my head once, too. Fell out of a car once, too, when I was a child. I opened the door and fell out into traffic.

There were several times I was so mentally broken I could barely even notice anything going on around me and people pulled me back from a approaching car I hadnt even heard. I could have died many times.

I almost CTB the bus with a plastic bag around my head and handcuffs behind my back.

It was truly frightening but I didn't clap the cuff very tight and was able to get my hand out.

Definitely would not recommend as a method

A little humorous in hindsight, but getting my wisdom teeth out almost killed me. Got an infection in one of the upper ones and it was just not treated right. In and out of the hospital for a couple of weeks. Ended up seizing and going septic with my white cell count spiking before a specialist switched my antibiotics.

Looking back, that is around the time I stopped having drive to work hard. I'd just finished a grueling semester with a ton of credits including two high level math classes.

almost got hit by a car a while ago. didn't even have an "oh shit" moment, just felt absolutely nothing. walked away disappointed that it didn't kill me. that's when i knew i was officially done
