These medicines are usually GABA antagonists (benzos, BDZ's/ambien, pregablin) opiates (codeine, hydrocodone, morphine) or stimulants (methylphenidate/Ritalin, dexoamphetamine).
This may be an unpopular opinion but I think that they should continue prescribing to people who ask for them because the likelyhood is that they're hooked and it's better a patient gets controlled drugs from the doctor rather than buy them off the street (which is 90% what's going to happen if they're denied a script).
Has anyone had the misfortune of being denied a script?
