  • Hey Guest,

Today, OFCOM launched an official investigation into Sanctioned Suicide under the UK’s Online Safety Act. This has already made headlines across the UK.

This is a clear and unprecedented overreach by a foreign regulator against a U.S.-based platform. We reject this interference and will be defending the site’s existence and mission.

In addition to our public response, we are currently seeking legal representation to ensure the best possible defense in this matter. If you are a lawyer or know of one who may be able to assist, please contact us at [email protected].

I just want to know how fatal it is on impact. Online articles everyone references dont mention whether the five percent of ppl who survive the ggb are the ones who drown or if drowning just happens in general a lot. its vry confusing they say cause of death s internal damage but do you pass out right away when hitting the water? idr want to have to go through the whole process of jumping just to survive with broken bones in the water scrambling for life like an animal. i just want to go unconscious and die

How would they know that? Are they waiting at the bottom and pull the bodies out of the water before drowning?
no one would know if they died instantly or drown after impact ?

and @Hhhhhh theres no guarantee what will happen to you .. so if you need a definite outcome, keep looking.

i think they can actually tell if they drowned based on bubbles around the mouth

"The lethality of jumps from the GGB (98%) was greater than that of any other suicide method...Autopsies suggest that over 93% of GGB fatalities resulted instantly from impact trauma, with the remainder of victims drowning due to unconsciousness or the severity of injury."
Per this article. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3643780/

I've seen other articles that put the fatality of the leap itself at 95%, with 3% of the remaining 5% drowning. Can't find those articles now.
