I'm a female that has been harmed by psychiatry. I have low quality of life. I can no longer tolerate the side effects of meds that were prescribed and taken as directed. I never dreamed this would happen. I'm hoping to be successful and very afraid of ending up in a nursing home with a bad attempt.

I feel your pain. I have seen many members ctb as a result of damage from psych meds. What kind of meds were you on?

Benzos are notoriously difficult to get off. The taper can last for years and it's hell every step of the way. I am sorry you had to go through that. Have you looked for support in www.benzobuddies.org ? Also, please take a look at the Ashton Manual if you have not done so already.

OIC, not much help, eh? They say benzo withdrawal is much worse than heroin. I cant even imagine the pain you are going through.

Me too I'm ruined by benzos. I had no idea that there is no way out when I first took it. I'm dependent of a benzo which is not be sold in europe. Since 3 months I am trying to reduce the dose because I suffer from nausea all the time. But I feel awful and it seems to be hopless to live / to sleep without this pills!!!:-(

Lithium gave me Psoriasis and Depakote affected my liver. Also quitting Cymbalta cold turkey was a bad idea. Got addicted to Seroquel because it could knock me out. I partly blame my stepdad for putting me on all those generic drugs because it was the cheap route, but had horrible side effects. Some gave me memory loss, made my eyes twitch, muscle spasms, and agitated at times. I wish I was more aware back then to say no to those experimental drugs, but I was too desperate for a cure to my problems that I didn't care about the effects.
