The thought of fading out of existence is kinda terrifying and oddly comforting at the same time. I'd just like to go to sleep and never wake up.

In an instant. I'd actually like it to be a pill or implant that you can get any time during the day and the next time you fall asleep something detects when you are in the deepest sleep and you never come back out of it. Anything less and it wont activate. Not something that will send you to sleep or that you'll have to sleep right after taking to be sure you wont vomit or anything, Something that just activates only in a deep sleep otherwise it has no effect at all.

The problem with that might be people will take it and then do illegal stuff before the end of the day.

I'd take instant i think. Apart from when its absolutely painless then i think i wouldn't mind feeling and enjoying it.

Instantly preferably. Either that, or with whatever the side effects of the method you chose are but only the positive ones, like an overdose high or the feeling of warmth from hypothermia, etc.

Same for me... In my case it may take even a few hours to lose consciousness, meanwhile feeling everything. That's what scares me, the pain and sensations I'm gonna feel.
But also, at the same time, I think I prefer being aware of it happening and to know that it's coming, and later becoming unconscious, instead of a method that is almost instantaneous. I don't know how to explain it. I just want to go in the most serene, calm and clear emotional state possible.
Before, I thought I wanted to ctb using the impulse of a crisis so that the despair and desperation of the crisis would override the terror of dying and I could do it.
But I don't think that way anymore. I don't want my last moments to be full of crying and excruciating emotional pain. I actually want to leave this world feeling happy and at peace with the decision; I don't want any attachments that might make me suddenly terrified and want to abort. I believe that's why I want to be aware of what's happening until the very moment I fall unconscious. I want it to be a rational and calm experience, despite and aside from the physical pain I will feel, instead of a highly emotional and terrifying experience. I hope I made sense, I know what I mean but don't know if I expressed it well.

Depends..
If it's painless and by flashbacks of good memories - like a movie that's coming to an end - i am okay by the feeling of leaving..
Otherwise just let it be instant please.
