Anyone else sad the majority of the time?

I am almost always sad. I wake up and I am sad, I go to work and I am sad.

When I sit on the toilet to take a dump, I am sad.. When I go out to food alone I am sad.

Is anyone else sad the majority of the time? Even when I get drunk or high I am sad.

Yes, I am in a bit of a similar situation. If you have what I have, the medical term for this is dysthymia.

I think my predominant emotion is frustration/ being fed up. Usually because I'm having to do life crap I don't want to do. It dips into sadness very readily though. It's almost surprising how readily I'll start crying at any moment. I think it's all just bubbling there under the surface.

Same. I come home from work, eat and surf the internet (i dont actually enjoy anything) until I fall asleep. Life seems so empty and meaningless right now.

Sometimes I get really sad, like earlier tonight. It's 5 A.M. but I was sad enough to log into this forum again after months of inactivity. I only get sad when I think about the things that have happened to me in the past, the things that brought me here.

Yea. I'll never forget the first time it dawned on me I would always be sad. Even in my best times I will always have a little bit of sadness in the core of my heart/personality/spirit.

Yes, precisely. The sadness never goes away. It disappears, but like a fateful lover or partner, always come back again.

Because it was a beautiful relationship and I still love her despite the pain she's causing me. I had waited years for an opportunity to love and be loved again and...it really was all that, except for the way it ended. If I forget about her, just like I forgot about my first ex, I'll probably end up losing that remaining 0.00001% of hope I've got left.
