Discussion Anyone else postponing their suicide for things like movies, books, video games, etc?

Seems kinda stupid, but I feel like I could do it any time I wanted since i already made peace with the idea of CTB, but i'm also looking forward to watching some movies that i haven't seen and other stuff that is not out yet even if it means that i'm going to have to endure more of this life.

before i went on recovery, i wanted to wait out ctb for the purpose of watching the final Game of Thrones season. too bad it was absolutely awful and not worth the wait lol.

funny that you mention game of thrones, i also went through that phase of wanting to see the final season and then being disappointed beyond any expectation. then got into recovery and now i'm postponing for 2019 for other stuff lol.

Well i don't see myself ctb anytime soon, as i still want to try and see how i will adapt to a job after i'm done with University, but if i was intending to do it soon, i would never do it before February 2020 just because i want to play the Last of Us 2!

Welcome to NHK is an amazing anime.

I'd be pretty happy if I managed to last until Death Stranding comes out. I'll be even more impressed if I make it to The Last of Us II.

Yes. My favorite game is Animal Crossing and last year the next game in the series got announced. So I patiently waited. I kept telling myself I've waited so long for this so I might as well just wait for it since I'm so close now. It was supposed to come out in 2019 but in June it got delayed. Fml. So now it's coming out in March 2020. I can die anytime I want but once I die I'll never be able to play it. I don't wanna leave with anymore regrets. I already have enough of those.

When I was younger, sure those were the copes that I am after, however, as someone who is nearing 30 years of age, those things aren't really sufficient for me to want to stick around. In present day, if the situation becomes untenable and too much for me, then I would check out as soon as possible while still staying low on the radar.

Yes, to be honest I don't think I'll ever set a day and time to ctb because knowing myself I won't stick to it. There are times I'm quite "happy" to trod along thru life, but I just know in my heart that it's most likely going to be a case of an impulsive suicide some day. But, who knows when.

There's a series of plays at a local theater about the apocalypse - they've had a countdown timer running on a TV right at the entrace to the theater for a good few months now, counting down to the last performance of the last play. I've really been enjoying those plays, so I'm trying to hold on until that countdown is over. I'll probably end it not too long afterwards, though.

Yeah, this year Avengers Endgame and Ryse of Skywalker (and the mandalorian) saved my life, since I had to see those movies. Sounds stupid but it´s true. The Resident Evil 2 Remake was a lifesaver as well.
