One of my best friends killed herself. It was the first step on my path to ending up here. Anyone else had experience with the suicide of someone close to you?

2 people, 1 close friend, one acquaintance. Both were men one early 20s the other was 30, both hangings.

My brother's best friend OD'd on Heroin. I've known him pretty much my whole life. I always liked him a lot, and he was always a very troubled person. I'm glad that his problems are over.
A friend if my mothers, who was the only person I looked up to as a father figure. Very nice person. He was divorced because he came out of the closet. I don't think he handled being gay, and accepting that. In hindsight I can see how that crushed him.
He layed a blue tarp down in a wooded area, called the sheriff to let them know where his body would be, and shot himself in the chest with a hunting rifle after he sat down on the tarp. Left sticky notes all over his daughters bedroom saying how much he loved her. It still is very sad to me.

My second cousin threw herself at an oncoming train. She was 16.
2 people I went to school with one a woman another man think the woman was 2012 and the guy only last year assume both were down on their luck through depression I know the guy used to leave posts on Facebook saying he wasn't in the right place and would then thank people say he was back in a good place oh no tell a lie three people one was almost 20 years back seeing as I'm 40 now I think that one was he wasn't happy with his sexuality so I was told - jeez when I go it will be 4 .. 5 counting a natural death from leukaemia and any others could be but u haven't heard .. an unlucky school !!

I knew a few people, and ironically 2 of them were young guys who came into the strip club where I worked at one time. One of them shot himself, the other one I can't remember. One girl who was a dancer at that strip club died of overdose but someone said suicide. I think this kid that I knew just 17 died at his home, the odds are it was a suicide but the news doesn't say. I knew the guy and it was difficult to say if he killed himself last September. It's crazy because this kid's older brother did commit suicide in 2008. That family had a lot of dysfunction including addiction issues.

I knew 3 people... Uncle hung himself, female friend put gun in mouth and pulled trigger, and another female friend by cyanide.

A friend from Sydney killed herself last year, we were planning to CTB together but she couldn't wait.
