I have had seizures for going on about 3-4 years now. No changes in meds or diet or lifestyle have really made much of an impact on the seizures themselves. Unfortunately, the only impact I've noticed so far is my anticonvulsants poorly effecting my mental health.
Just wondering if anyone else here experiences epilepsy and if anyone else has gone through the surreal feeling of recovering from days worth of seizure clusters…
A lot of my seizure auras (most call auras warnings but truthfully, they're their own type of seizure) feel like Deja vu and forgotten memories. The recovery from a big seizure or a cluster of them feels similar but the best way I can think of to describe it is that it almost feels like I did die during my seizure and everything since then has been a "dream". Trying to regain my footing during those times really hampers down on my depression and makes me feel like it's just another sign I don't belong here.
Anyone else able to relate?
